Step by Step Guide for Your 45 Minute Vinyasa Flow Yoga Class
Assuming you have a basic understanding of the sun salutation, we will begin with that. If not, please take a look at this video to get a better understanding. We will be doing a modified version of the sun salutation specifically for this best online vinyasa yoga classes.
Begin in the mountain pose with your feet together and your arms by your sides. Take a deep breath in and raise your arms overhead, interlacing your fingers. As you exhale, bend forward from your hips, keeping your spine straight. Once you have reached as far down as you can go without rounding your back, place your palms on the floor (if you cannot reach the floor, place them on your shins). Inhale and look up, lengthening your spine. Exhale and round your back, tucking your chin to your chest. Inhale again and come back up to standing, releasing your arms back down to your sides. This completes one sun salutation.
We will now do a series of warrior poses. Warrior I is excellent for building strength in the legs and opening up the hip flexors. From mountain pose, step your left foot back about four feet behind you and turn it out at a 45 degree angle. Bend into your right knee so that it is directly over your ankle while keeping both legs strong – do not let the knee go past the toe line of the right foot. Raise both arms straight up above you, parallel to each other
