The Sopranos legend John Ventimiglia’s daughter Odele, has died aged 25, it has been confirmed.
The heartbroken family have taken to social media to share the news that Odel died on January 12, just two months after welcoming her daughter, Shiloh.
In an emotional Facebook post, her mum Belinda said the family were “overwhelmed” with the support they had received since Odele’s death.
The wife of the Artie Bucco star, said: “Heartbroken to have to post our darling Odele’s funeral notice.
“Her sister Lucinda and I have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and love we have received, and your remembrances of how cherished Odele was to so many. Odele was greatly loved and leaves a huge hole in our lives.
“Odele is survived by her sister, Lucinda Ventimiglia, mother, Belinda Cape, father John Ventimiglia, and her beloved daughter Shiloh.”
Odele’s mother requested that in lieu of flowers paying tribute to her, those who had wished to send flowers were asked to donate to a GoFundMe which would help towards Shiloh’s future education.
Over $52,700 dollars has been raised so far – exceeding their initial target of $50k with John’s Sopranos co-star Stevie Van Zandt and his wife Maureen donating $500 while adding: “Deepest love and condolences.”
At the time of publication, Odele’s cause of death had not been made public.
Belinda was inundated with messages of condolences, with one writing: “I am ao sorry Belinda my prayers are with you and family Odele was a beautiful and talented young woman Baby is so beautiful she looks like Odele. My Condolences.”
“Belinda. I’m so saddened by your unbelievable loss. I watched Odele grow up and I know how thrilled she was to have Shiloh. No words can comfort you but know that I’m thinking of you,” said a second.
Before a third went on to write: “So sad to hear this terrible news. I loved having sweet Odele in my Kindergarten class. I am so sorry for your loss. I will be there on Thursday.”
“Oh Belinda, I send condolences and much love to you all. May her memory always be a blessing,” commented another.
